ADULT ALTAR SERVERS The Adult Altar Servers are looking for a few good men and women to assist with serving at the Lord’s Table. Training will be provided. For

Needed
Youth Altar Servers: If you are a boy or girl who has made your
First Holy Communion and are in the fourth grade or higher we would like you to
consider joining our group of Youth Altar Servers. Parents, please encourage your son or
daughter to become an altar server.
Information will be sent home in the next two weeks giving you further
information. We will try our best
to accommodate your Mass time preferences.
New servers will be required to attend two of three practices.
Those dates and times are: · Saturday
February 18: 11:00 AM in the church · Wednesday
February 22: 7:00 PM in the church · Saturday
February 25: 2:00 PM in the church · Further information will be sent home with the
children in PREP classes and also in our parish school. If you do not receive this information

Adult Lectors for Weekend Masses: We are in need of additional men and women who
are of high school age or older to become Lectors for our weekend Masses. If you are interested please send an

e-mail address. New Lectors will be
placed on the next schedule which will go into effect
in April, 2012.
ANNOUNCEMENT Nominations are being accepted for a Parish Council At-Large Representative SPN Parish Council is pleased to
announce that nominations are now being accepted for any parishioner who may be
interested in serving on Parish Council as an At-Large Representative. This is for a one (1) year term,
beginning on September 1, 2012. To nominate a parishioner or submit
your own name for consideration, please send a writing to include your name,
address and phone number with your nomination choice to the Chairman of the
Nominating Committee, Attorney Gerald J. Mullaney at gjmesq@enter.net or by placing your writing
in the collection basket or dropping it off at the rectory. If you have any
questions, please call Jerry Mullaney at (215) 679-7931. The deadline for
receiving all nominations is February 5, 2012. The At-Large Representative’s main
duties involve fostering and strengthening communications within the Parish
community. Representatives will be expected to attend all Parish Council meetings which usually occur on the 2nd Monday of

BIBLE STUDY Join us for Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom
at St. Philip Neri has begun. Wednesday’s at 7:00 p.m. and Friday’s, at 9:00
a.m. (First Friday at 10am) continuing for 10 weeks (First portion of a 20 week

use SPN Bible Study in the subject line). Costs for materials for the 20 week Bible Study is $40.00. The Bible Study groups will
meet in the Meeting Rooms of the Social Hall. If you missed the first week and are

Our Garden Club of St. Philip Neri Church needs your help to maintain the Church grounds, Flower Beds, watering, weeding, etc. The Garden Club meets every Wednesday evening from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm on the Church grounds; BUT, you are most welcome to come over any day of the week and a time that best meets your schedule. on ABC Family from 6:30 am to 7:00 am each Sunday. THE SUNDAY MASS is produced by the
Passionist Fathers and Brothers out of New York City and is available
nationally on local affiliates. Too early for you? Tape it, tivo it, or

CRAFT GUILD: DATE CHANGE The Craft Guild will meet every third Tuesday
of the month from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. SPN Quilting will meet every Monday from 1:30
pm to 3:30 pm and every Friday from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm in the Social Hall. SPN Quilting will NOT meet the third Monday of the month.

open and waiting for visitors! We
are open on Wednesday afternoons from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm and would be open more
often if we could have a rotating Volunteer Schedule. We have a good assortment of Spiritual
reading as well as reference materials which could be utilized by school children.
We are located in the Rectory Meeting Room and our books are just waiting for

the Historical Committee Come join
us as we discover our past, record our present and shape our future. The Historical Committee is looking for
new members. Our committee needs
people with varied talents to bring our history together. Some work can be done
on your own time and in your own home. A partial
list of what is needed includes interviewers and photographers. We need people to work on the computer,
