LITTLE
CHURCH
Children in Pre-K and
Kindergarten classes (ages 4 by Sept. 15th, 5 & 6) participate in
Liturgy of the Word during the 9:30 a.m Mass on Sundays. The children set a prayer table, sing with
gestures, pray simple prayers, listen to Scripture, discuss the theme both in
their own life experience and in context of the Scripture story. On alternating years “Our Bible Story” - Old
Testament, and “The Jesus Story” - New Testament stories are used. Little Church is a stepping stone to your
child’s understanding of the Mass. If
you are interested or would like to volunteer please call the Director of
Religious Education.
BAPTISMAL
CERTIFICATES
A copy of your child’s baptismal
certificate is to be submitted the first time he/she is registered for our
program. This will be attached to your
child’s permanent record file. This
information is needed when you child receives other Sacraments. If your child was baptized here at St. Philip’s,
it is only necessary to provide the baptismal date and we will verify the information
in the parish register.
