COMMUNICATION

Open communication between the Director of Religious Education, Catechist, Parents and children is essential.  Newsletters will be sent home (in a student envelope) with the youngest/only child in each family every few weeks.  These letters will keep parents informed as to upcoming events in the parish religious education program, and the liturgical life of the parish.  Specific reminders will be sent home periodically.

Catechists are encouraged to send a letter of introduction to parents in the beginning of the year stating their expectations; and to contact parents when the need arises.

FIRST AID POLICY

We the staff and catechists are committed to the safety of the children at all times, however accidents and illness do occur.   If your child comes to the office for any reason we will evaluate the situation and make a decision whether to keep the child or call you or your emergency contact right away.  PLEASE NOTE THAT NO MEDICATIONS WILL BE GIVEN OUT TO ANY CHILD FOR ANY REASON.  Unless given previous permission in writing from the parent/ guardian.
