Parish Mission Statement
We the people of the Roman Catholic parish of St. Philip Neri, Pennsburg, Pennsylvania, in communion with our Archbishop, proclaim to everyone the Good News that Jesus Christ is our Light.
 |
Baptized into Christ Jesus and confirmed by the gift of the Holy Spirit, we desire to share the Light with all proclaiming the Gospel of forgiveness and reconciliation to every person.
We are one in our belief and in the variety of gifts, services and ministries through which we hope to build up the Kingdom of God. We therefore commit ourselves to: |
Worship by Our Lives the Living God, who in the person of Jesus walks with us in the modern world; celebrate joyfully, as Spirit filled people, the Eucharist, the other sacraments and devotions of the Church.
Create and Nourish a Welcoming Spirit of Community within our parish family; reach out, personally and actively, from the fullness of our faith.
Proclaim in Word and Deed the Good News of Jesus throughout the Upper Perkiomen Valley, inviting our sisters and brothers in the community to witness our faith and commitment.
Teach the Saving Message of Jesus, so that all may come to a deeper understanding, conversion, and personal witness of Him through support of our parish school and comprehensive religious education programs.
Serve Our Sisters and Brothers in their physical and spiritual needs with justice and love; respond appropriately to ethical and moral concerns in Society.
Participate in the Apostolate of Parish Leadership by using our varied gifts, individual skills and experiences for the good of the parish.
Stewardship by accepting our responsibility to the Church; our parish and its mission; give generously and cheerfully, of our time, talent and treasure; exercise sound judgement in managing parish resources.
